APES WITH STICKS

Serengeti hominids, the first of early man,
foraging their existence in the brutal savage lands
must learn to hunt and kill in packs to benefit their tribe.
Socially altruistic humans begin to civilize.
And they feed. And they grow. And they breed, then uh-oh!

Their populations flourish. Their resources become stressed.
Their neighboring tribes bare the blame of hoarding to excess.
Ensuing power struggles quickly become malicious games.
Once the apes realize the benefits of destroying those in their way.

The Apes with Sticks - lay claim to these territories.
The Apes with Sticks - wield dominance and authority.

With their sticks, and their stones, they will crush your ape bones.

Prehistoric skeletons with axe marks in their heads,
reveal the evidence of violence at the hands of other men.
Ambitious and aggressive, they force the weak behind,
gaining political succession through deceit, murder, and lies.

The apes with sticks - exert their dominance.
The apes with sticks - demand your compliance.
The apes with sticks - round up the crowd and bash their heads.
The apes with sticks - will enforce your obedience.

Divide the tribes with hate and lies until homicide becomes genocide.

Guns. Drones. Nuclear Missiles. Novichok.

Evolving in this niche, we outwit trends to civilize,
escalating a new arms race rife with satellites and spies.
Advancements in new weaponry become the premises for war.
An excuse to test new gunpowder, chlorine and chloroform.
The violence begets more violence once this escalation starts.
The lust for revenge and tyranny creates more twisted hearts.

Deploy the troops. The plot’s uncovered.
Disband the group. We are outnumbered.
Destitute. Peace talks are severed.
The whole world’s at fucking war!

The apes with sticks - tear gas the crowds and bash their heads.
The apes with sticks - confine the poor to concentration camps.
The apes with sticks - use smart bombs and drones to kill who’s left.
The apes with sticks - sell us more lies as they hide war crimes.

Civil Disobedience will not be tolerated.
